When considering a budget for your daily living, the very first thing to do is THINK IN PHILIPPINE PESOS! Don’t convert costs to your own currency when constructing your budget. Just because you might spend US$300.00/week on groceries for two in your home country, doesn’t mean you should budget that same amount for your groceries in the Philippines. Here a budget of US$100.00/week for groceries will probably suffice. Some things will be cheaper than in your country, some things more expensive…just budget according to what is available to suit your needs!
